Hi! I’m Christine.
and It’s my honor to help you Achieve A happier, more NATURAL AND SUSTAINABLE, eco-passionate life!
Just like you, I’m coping every day with too much to do and too many decisions to make, though I’d really like to make a big positive impact …somehow. The fact that good health and quality stuff cost more time and money than I usually have is a drag. Not to mention the blind eyes, deaf ears and belittling comments on my efforts to live naturally and sustainably. I know that, all by myself, my sustainable lifestyle won’t make a shred of difference to our ecosystems or the climate crisis. Nonetheless, the ticking CO2-clock keeps me up at night.
Very often, it’s not even about making a great big impact on the world, but just being able to get through each day. It’s so easy to feel like our efforts to live sustainably can’t measure up to the crises we’re facing, which leaves us feeling worried, dismayed or depressed. But we have the power to keep ourselves positive and lifted, together.
And that’s what I’m here for. And I’m guessing that’s why you’re here, too.
So, who am I, in reality?
Well, I live in a suburb of Frankfurt am Main in Germany. I’m also a semi-chaotic mom of three wonderful, nearly-grown-up children, a total nature nerd with not much sense for fashion who’s happiest of all when outdoors, in ANY weather. I love sci-fi films and historical fiction novels, traveling anywhere, insects and all other creatures, wild herbs, trees, waterways, my family, my garden and archery. My gardens have taken shape then turned wild again, my kitchen is not fabulous but well-used. I’ve been divorced and through bankrupcy. Yep, quite a lot of life-lessons, but I am grateful for every bit of it.
My own (American) childhood was spent mostly outdoors in nature, or tagging along with my super self-reliant dad and granddad, but “home” meant staying with a lot of relatives, friends and others. I’ve lived in a lot of homes of all sizes and shared living, garden and work spaces with a lot of personalities, each with different views on “normal” homelife. I became a mom myself at age 20, then put myself through college (in Boston)–to be a better role model–and that’s when I started working on living as naturally and sustainably as I knew how. It’s been a long, winding road.
Looking back, looking ahead, aiming to inspire more sustainable lifestyles
From my current vantage point at age 50+, as a mother of three, living abroad in Germany since 2004, I can see how much the global groundswell of ecological and climate awareness has grown over the past 30+ years. We still have a ways to go, no question. I studied biology and psychology hoping that that would help me to understand the world better. It has. I left a great job in a prestigious research lab to make a career of nature- and environmental education, hoping to make a difference. Have I? I’ve learned a lot about teaching gently but effectively, and being a role model instead of a lecturer. And have seen what an incredible difference this makes.
Through my struggles (and thanks to my struggles!), I have learned so much!
Learning to live sustainably doesn’t happen overnight, but I can help you to get there faster.
Just like you, I’ve been desperate to do all I can to help preserve our world’s ecosystems and biodiversity, and, like you, I’m deeply concerned about the future. I’ve been through a haze of depressions. I’ve been angry. I want to brighten the outlook for young people. I know all too well the feelings that come up in the overwhelm of having no quick fix for our environmental crises.
So, I’m here to share with you all the ideas, support and solutions I can offer, and to show you how you can still serve your cause while celebrating with your family life’s joys and blessings, and while discovering so many more!
Along the way, I’ve learned some of the simplest, most effective ways to solve a lot of my own homelife challenges without losing my head. More than any other way, we learn by doing and we inspire by doing! The act of living our lives is what teaches us, and what sets the example for others who may be more reluctant. How to do this more easily, naturally and sustainably, step-by-step, and live the way you want to, is what I can’t wait to share with you!
Your family’s eco-passionate homelife transformation can start NOW!
Imagine managing your household harmoniously and sustainably together with your loved ones. Consider how great it would feel knowing just how to talk to your partner, spouse or kids about changing old, wasteful habits while preserving the peace and your self-respect. Imagine knowing just how to talk to your children or class about scary things like the climate crisis, plastic pollution and mass extinctions, without getting sick to your stomach, without terrifying them out of their minds, and being able to prepare them more adequately for an uncertain future.
Eco-Passionate is the result of all my years of studies, research and experience and is dedicated to helping you. Tell me how I can help!

My purpose here is to speed things up for you, my eco-passionate friend, as you transform your life and make it as natural and sustainable as you wish it to be!
In the process, however, I will not let you forget about you, your loved ones, and staying whole, too!
And that is what Eco-Passionate is all about.
